Ronald Vieceli has been working with salvaged steel and local hardwoods in southern Illinois for several years. He is fascinated with the shapes and textures to be found in the discarded pieces of steel and the uniqueness of each piece of wood. Combining the locally sourced wood’s organic warmth and the industrial essence of steel, pieces are an exploration into alternative outcomes for discarded materials. He is currently creating a series of one of a kind lamps and other objects made from available materials.
